Description

If your wanting to fit a gas tank as a retrofit item to an already converted motorhome, then this is the gas tank mounting system for you.

The OEM specification GAS IT tank system has been designed to locate the 25 ltr GAS IT tank in the centre of the vehicle – between the exhaust & hand brake cable pivot, with the gas tank running left to right, which is where 99% of the UK Motorhome manufacturers who fit the GAS IT tanks fix theirs.

The specially designed GAS IT Chassis brackets for retrofit installations, don’t require insulated floors to be cut or modified as they bolt directly through the cross members which then allow our quick install feeted GAS IT tank to be fixed to the vehicle. Our feeted gas tank allow 1 man installation, and quick and easy removal should you need to in the future. All fixings to bolt the tank mounting frame to the vehicle, and the GAS IT tank to the mounting system are also provided.

On completion, your installation will not only comply with the relevant road vehicle gas tank mounting regulations for the UK and Europe, EN1949, R67, NCC C.o.P. 306 but it will exceed their technical requirements.

If you want to reduce your vehicles weight, then we also offer the option of using a smaller 20 ltr GAS IT tank or if you want to go slightly bigger with your gas capacity then we also do a 30 ltr GAS IT system, which have their own seperate listing on our shop,

As all GAS IT tanks are fitted with automatic excess flow valves in the inlet and outlets of the tank, It complies with the EN1949 regulations which states you do not need to fit a crash sensing regulator to run your gas whilst moving ( assuming your gas appliance system its approved to be used whilst vehicle is in motion).

In line with the N.C.C. CoP 306 and also the gas tank manufactures requirements, you must protect your GAS IT tank when mounting underneath the vehicle from mechanical damage caused by stones and road debris. A good quality rubberised underbody spray to help protect and prolong your gas tanks life, and the associated mounting system, from Stone chips and future rust must be applied on install.

We sell an underbody spray HERE for this application. Please make sure the rubberised coating on the tank is checked at least once a year and recoated in any areas that have been washed away by general road wear.

Failure to protect the tank against stone chips and mechanical damage on install will invalidate any warranty on the tank and mounting system.

The GAS IT OEM specification gas tank kit comes complete with:-

1x (GI-VT-002-F-S-C) 25Ltr GAS IT fully valved tank with black powder coated airbox & factory fixed mounted feet.

1x (GI-TF-061-KIT) Set of Heavy duty vehicle specific chassis mounting brackets.

1x (GI-0061) Chassis bracket fitting kit – M10 ISO bolts, washers, nuts.

1x (GI-FH-048) 1.5 mtr OEM R67 approved Light weight filler hose. This fill hose requires simple self assembly and takes a few minutes with hand tools.

1x (GI-FP-015-BLACK) Body mount fill point system – Black Fill box & fill point.

1x (GI-STICK-001) Fill box OEM protector ring.

1x (GI-STICK-019) LPG Safety Sticker for LPG tanks.

1x (GI-TOOL-017) Leak spray fluid – to test your joints after install.

1x (GI-SPR-001) GAS IT Black Gas Tank & Underbody Coating Spray 500ml

This is a complete kit to mount to vehicle and fill the tank.

Please note that this GAS IT tank does not come with a mechanical or remote LED displays and senders level indicator. Please visit the ‘Gas level indicators and switches section’ of our website to purchase your required gas level indicator of choice.

Before buying this system, we always recommend you make sure the location where the tank is designed to fit is not already used by the vehicle manufactures for water tanks, steps and so forth, and that the gap between each cross member as per the bracket measurements in this kit.

Please make sure this tank 100% fits the location and your age of vehicle ( and that there is space in the location your fitting it which is not taken up by other pre installed items )
